I am the sponsor or leader of large-scale change
You’ll be someone who has an overview of the change project. You’ll monitor and drive its progress and may be called upon as the final decision maker. However, you won’t be directly responsible for the detail. Instead, you’ll be there to lead, sanction and legitimise the change and role model the correct behaviours.
Your route through the BCF should include stops at the overview of each of the five phases, to understand HOW the change project needs to progress. You also need to be clear on the business benefits of the change, to cover the WHY. Likewise, by understanding the change roles, you will know how to allocate tasks to people and what to expect of them.
Lastly, to understand WHAT is being done during the project, we recommend the change readiness assessor. This tool will allow you to monitor progress at any time. It will help you gauge organisational, people, process and technology readiness. It will also help you establish key priorities to keep the project on track.
